The ‘Divergent’ cast discusses filming in Chicago at Comic-Con

For the past few months we were tracking the cast and crew of Divergent as they filmed around Chicago, until they wrapped up production two weeks ago.

Thursday, during their Comic-Con panel, the movie’s star Shailene Woodley and the book’s author Veronica Roth talked about the Chicago shoot, specifically the time they spent filming at the Ferris Wheel on Navy Pier.

“The Ferris wheel day was pretty special,” Woodley said. “It was a full moon, it was so beautiful. It was just a magical moment, and how often do you get to climb a Ferris wheel in life?”

Roth added that the filming location on Navy Pier was the exact Ferris Wheel she pictured while writing the book.
