Breaking Bad’s final eight episodes debut on AMC on Aug. 11 and, in anticipation of the beginning of the end, the show’s cast and creator will be making several appearances in New York City next week.
On Tuesday, July 30 at 6:30 p.m., the show’s cast, including Bryan Cranston, Anna Gunn, Aaron Paul, Dean Norris, Betsy Brandt, R.J. Mitte and Bob Odenkirk, and creator Vince Gilligan, will talk with Dave Itzkoff for NYT’s TimesTalks. The event is sold out but there may be an opportunity to get stand-by tickets.
The Film Society of Lincoln Center will host Long Cook: A Breaking Bad Marathon in which they will show every episode of the series (that has aired so far) on the big screen, playing one season per day beginning today. The special series also includes 4 sold out panels with various cast members. The episode screenings are free and open to the public.
The Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria is unveiling the exhibit From Mr. Chips to Scarface: Walter White’s Transformation in Breaking Bad, including props, costumes, and video material from the series. The exhibit opens today and runs through October 27. On Sunday, July 28, the museum will present Making Bad: An Evening With Vince Gilligan.
On Monday, July 29 at 7:00 p.m., the Apple SoHo store is hosting Meet the Creator and Cast: Vince Gilligan, Bryan Cranston, and Aaron Paul. The event is free and open to the public.
