Michael C. Hall begins filming ‘Cold in July’ in Kingston, NY

Last week Michael C. Hall began filming Cold in July in Kingston, NY, making it the fourth film to be shot in New York’s Hudson Valley this year.

Cold in July is the feature adaptation of Joe Lansdale’s novel about Richard Dane, a man who shoots and kills an armed burglar in his living room. The case is clear-cut to everyone but the burglar’s father, who vows to kill Dane’s some in return.

Hall has been spotted filming and dining in Kingston in recent days and reportedly stopped into Duo Bistro for the turkey confit.

If you’re in the area and interested in appearing in the movie, Break-Through Casting is handling extras. You can see their latest casting calls on Facebook.

  1. Spotted Michael C Hall leaving his house on the Saint James Street in Uptown Kingston. I think the beautiful gray house that he is staying at with a white picket fence is a B&B or something.

  2. Just heard that Michael just left Kingston and the film just wrapped up. Michael C Hall in Kingston NY! Love that he supported local shops and restaurants like Duo, Boitsons, Yum Yum, Stockade and also lived in the infamous Stockade District at The Saint James Kingston during the filming of Cold in July! Thanks Michael for being a local supporter of our city, Kingston!
