Last year The Hunger Games: Catching Fire spent several days filming at the historic Swan House in Atlanta and now it looks like they might be doing it all again for Mockingjay Part 1.
One of our readers, Anna was at the Atlanta History Center recently and saw a group of location scouts with notebooks and tablets taking measurements of the Swan House, presumably for Mockingjay, which begins filming in Atlanta this month.
We also noticed that the Swan House has added a note to their website stating “Swan House will be closed to the public on Friday, October 18, 2013”, which is very similar to the notices they posted when Catching Fire was shot there last fall.
As we’ve reported, there have also been signs that the production might be headed to Griffin, GA soon, too.
If you have any scoop about where Mockingjay might be filming this fall, let us know about it at olv@onlocationvacations.com!
[…] Another potential location could be the Swan House, which was used as President Snow’s mansion in Catching Fire. According to On Location Vacations: […]

Edit: (sorry Thursday’s AJC)
OK thanks!
thanks! do you know if they are still there?
I went by the Swan House today and took some pictures of the front. There did not seem to be any activity around the house at 1pm today. I did not know how to access the back, but in driving in the area I didn’t see any production trailers or unusual traffic . Perhaps it’s a night shoot? No one was at Pullman Yard today either.
Just called the Historical Society. Swan House was open it’s regular hours today and closed at 4pm as usual. It will be open again tomorrow it’s regular time of 11am. If there is a shoot there it would be an all nighter.
