This weekend Breaking Bad fans in Albuquerque, NM, where the show was set and filmed, will pay tribute to Walter White by “laying him to rest”.
On Saturday, Oct. 19 there will be a funeral “procession” from the location where Walter died, a “eulogy” from the show’s set decorator, and a “burial” at an Albuquerque cemetery, complete with a tombstone that is sure to become a tourist destination a la Jim Morrison’s Resting Place.
Following the funeral, there will be a reception later at Vernon’s Hidden Valley Steakhouse.
Tickets range in price from $20 to $5,000. All proceeds will go to the Albuquerque Community Foundation according to the event’s organizer, Jackamoe Buzzell.
