For the past six weeks Gone Girl, the big screen version of Gillian Flynn’s best-selling novel, has been filming in the small town of Cape Girardeau, MO.
Cape Girardeau proved to be the perfect location for the movie due to its accss to the Mississippi River, suburban development, and a historic downtown. But, this week the production is moving on and will return to Los Angeles for the rest of the shoot.
The story focuses on a housewife (played by Rosamund Pike) who disappears on her fifth wedding anniversary and her husband (played by Ben Affleck) who becomes the main suspect.
According to FilmL.A., Gone Girl is filming at 453 S Spring St, Los Angeles on Wednesday 10/30 from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM and 800 Traction Ave on Friday, 11/1 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 AM (on Saturday).
On Friday and Saturday (10/25 and 10/26), Ben Affleck was also spotted filming scenes for the movie around 5th Ave and 14th Street in New York City.
