J.J. Abrams has an extensive portfolio of both film and television productions under his belt, and he has recently expanded into the literary realm with his collaboration with author Doug Dorst on the interactive novel titled S.
The novel houses a book by a mysterious author with the margins scribbled in by two university students named Eric and Jennifer. Initially, the two begin by trying to figure out the identity of the book but increasingly becomes more personal as they fall for each other. Fans of J.J. Abram’s Lost will be on familiar territory as S. is filled with numerous codes, puzzles, and mysteries for readers to solve.
This Saturday (November 23rd), J.J. Abrams and Doug Dorst will be holding an event hosted by the Thalia Book Club in the Symphony Space building in New York City.
Sarah Vowell (Unfamiliar Fishes) will introduce the event and Lena Dunham (Girls) will be in conversation with J.J. Abrams and Doug Dorst.
Tickets are available here and the talk will be followed by a signing session of the novel.
