After Saturday’s tragic death of actor Paul Walker, Universal is trying to figure out how to handle the remaining production of Fast & Furious 7.

The movie, which has been filming in Atlanta since September, was set to resume shooting today after being on hiatus for Thanksgiving, but those plans are on hold for at least a few days, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Walker was co-hosting a charity event for Reach Out Worldwide just before the fatal car crash that also claimed the life of Roger Rodas, a well-respected financial adviser and the CEO of Walker’s company Always Evolving. Proceed from the charity, held in Santa Clarita, CA, were to go to victims of the recent Philippines Typhoon.

Though it is unclear how Universal plans to handle Walker’s death in Fast 7, which still had nearly a month of filming left to complete in Atlanta at which point they were scheduled to film several more key scenes in Abu Dhabi, director James Wan has met with the production company to discuss “how to proceed in a manner that would be respectful to Walker’s death.”

Though plot details of Fast 7 are unknown at this time, the Atlanta shoot has included both a major crash scene downtown and a burial scene at the Oakland Cemetery, leaving some to believe rewrites will be necessary given the circumstances of Walker’s death.

Meanwhile, the crash site near Rye Canyon Loop and Kelly Johnson Parkway in Valencia, CA has become a memorial for the Walker’s fans and friends. His Fast & Furious co-star Tyrese Gibson was among the mourners at the scene on Sunday.
