Though OLV has had an Instagram account for quite some time, I’ve finally decided to use it.
One of the reasons I’ve been hesitant to use the photo sharing site is, honestly, I don’t do much worth documenting. Like many professional bloggers most of my time is spent in front of a computer, which is rarely photo worthy.
Then it struck me, there is something I do everyday that I could document – I watch TV, a lot of TV. I also have a constant commentary running through my mind about what I’m watching and where it was filmed (the understandable result of writing about filming locations all day I guess).
So, last week I thought it would be fun to start sharing some of this internal commentary via Instagram.
I’ve started taking screenshots from some of my favorite shows as I’m watching them and adding information about where that particular scene was filmed.
Here’s one of my favorite examples: I recently posted the above photo with the caption, “The #StarsHollow town square from #GilmoreGirls is located on the #WB studios backlot and is now #BlueBell, AL on #HartofDixie.”
