One of our biggest disappointments last year turned into one of our favorite moments.
Sadly, we were among the thousands of fans who weren’t able to get tickets to the live screening of the Breaking Bad finale at Hollywood Forever Cemetery. In hindsight, we didn’t have much of a chance considering the event sold out in about 30 seconds, but when it was announced we thought for sure it was a meant to be because we where already scheduled to be in L.A. that week.
Anyway, after the reality set in that we had missed our chance to get into the event we decided we would at least take a drive over there and live vicariously through those who did get tickets.
About two hours before the finale was set to to air, we stood outside the gates of the Hollywood Forever Cemetery with the masses in their yellow hazmat suits and Heisenberg hats, munching on “blue meth”, when Aaron Paul came out and offered up one more pair of tickets.
We joined a group of 50 or so fans surrounding Paul as he asked a series of questions to determine who deserved them. Unfortunately, traveling from New York wasn’t enough for us to earn them but seeing him make someone else’s dream come true made up for the fact that we didn’t get inside.
Below are a few photos we took of Aaron and video from inside the event:
