A new movie has been approved for nearly $4 million in Michigan film incentives.
Northern 48, a feature-length heist film written to be made in Michigan, is set to begin in late spring and use Pointe Aux Barques at the tip of Michigan’s thumb and metro Detroit as locations.
The story begins amid a huge storm off Lake Huron and “the police questioning the only survivor of what looks like a business deal gone horribly bad. The survivor tells a tale that leads from Detroit to a U.S. customs warehouse heist of art antiquities to a legendary border militia group and a billion-dollar casino deal.”
Stay tuned for more information about the movie, casting, and potential locations.
