Robert De Niro is back in New York this week filming the upcoming movie, Hands Of Stone.

In the film, which has also been filming in Panama, De Niro plays the legendary boxing trainer Ray Arcel. Arcel worked with Larry Holmes, Freddie Steele, Alfonso Frazier, Abe Goldstein and Roberto Duran, during his nearly 70 year career.

Usher, Ellen Barkin, and Edgar Ramirez also star.

On Monday, De Niro was spotted filming scenes in downtown Manhattan, while Ramirez shot scenes on the Brooklyn Bridge. Yesterday we heard the movie was shooting on 70th Ave in Forest Hills.

The production is working under “La Piedra Films” so be on the lookout for No Parking signs around NYC and be sure to let us know if you spot them!

  1. They were posting “no parking towaway zone” signes on 70th in Forest Hills a few days ago. Tonight the trailers and other movie equipment are out in force along 70th Ave at least between Fleet St. and Groton St. This is right where the Continental Ave subway commuters park.
