New ‘Star Wars’ movie will begin filming in May

J.J. Abrams recently confirmed the script for Star Wars: Episode VII is done and filming is set to start in May.

“That’s the current plan,” Abrams said during the Television Critics Association winter press tour. “We have our script and we’re full steam ahead. Have script, will travel.”

Filming will begin at Pinewood Studios in the U.K., where the movie will be based. Other possible filming locations include New Mexico, Los Angeles, Iceland, Jordan, Scotland, and Ireland.

Episode VII will open on Dec. 18, 2015.
