Actors and movie fans in Georgia have two great opportunities to become extras this weekend.
In Savannah, Belle Casting is looking for people younger than 30 who are “long hair, hippie types, musicians and bikers” for an upcoming Gregg Allman biopic.
Midnight Rider stars Tyson Ritter as the young Gregg Allman, Wyatt Russell as Duane Allman, and William Hurt as the older Gregg Allman, along with co-stars Eliza Dushku, Bradley Whitford, Joel David Moore, Zoey Deutch, Chad Lindberg, Charles Dutton, Aldis Hodge, and Kathy Baker.
There will be an open casting call held from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Mar. 23, at Meddin Studios, 2315 Louisville Road in Savannah. Those who can’t make it but still want to apply are asked to submit a current picture and availability info by March 27 to MidnightRider@BelleCasting.com.
Over in Atlanta Catrett Locke Casting will also looking for young extras for the movie Goosebumps, starring Jack Black, on Saturday, Mar. 22.

Casting directors are looking for teenagers for the upcoming film, “Goosebumps”! Goosebumps, starring Jack Black will shoot in the Atlanta area starting in April.
All teens MUST BE LEGALLY 16 years old or older to play younger – NO exceptions.
We are looking specifically for the role of DWAYNE a naturally funny young man whose size is that of a football star. Teen boys of any ethnicity, who match this description should bring a current, non-returnable photo to see us from Noon until 2 PM on Saturday, February 22, 2014.

Goosebumps is an adaptation of the popular children’s horror fiction novels by R. L. Stine. The movie will use a 130,000-square foot studio space at 2030 East Park Drive in Conyers, GA as its home base when filming begins this spring.

Crew member killed on ‘Midnight Rider’ film shoot
Variety is reporting that a female member of the “Midnight Rider” movie crew was killed Thursday afternoon in Wayne County. Three people were on the train trestle, over the Altamaha River, when they were struck by a freight train.
John Carter of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Departmen said that one injured woman was airlifted to Savannah’s Memorial Health University Medical Center. Two people were taken by ambulance to a local hospital, Wayne Memorial Hospital in Jesup.
