There can be no doubt that Russell Crowe is a very busy man, not only is he currently putting the finishing touches on his directorial debut feature-length film The Water Diviner in the southwestern Turkish province of Muğla, he is also heading to Pittsburgh to start filming Fathers and Daughters.
According to Today’s Zaman, Crowe is working in the “5,000-year-old village of Kayaköy in Muğla for the final scenes of his upcoming historical drama.” The movie focuses on an Australian father as he comes to Turkey following World War I to look for his three sons who went missing during the Battle of Gallipoli in Çanakkale.
Crowe will take on the role as the father while other supporting roles will be taken on by local Turkish talent such as comedian-actor Cem Yılmaz and actor-director Yılmaz Erdoğan.
The movie is slated for a 2014 release.
