Few would argue that Under The Tuscan Sun is one of the most travel-inspiring movies of all time.
In the 2003 rom-com, Diane Lane stars as Frances, a woman who impulsively buys a villa in Tuscany after learning her husband has cheated on her. It’s the ultimate fantasy, starting over and finding happiness is one of the world’s most beautiful locations.
Not all of us can pick up and move to Tuscany permanently, but all of us can stay in the movie’s gorgeous villa – for a price.
The home Frances buys in the movie, Bramasole, was actually Villa Laura, located just outside of Cortona, Tuscany, Italy, which can now be rented on a weekly basis.
The restored villa sleeps up to 20 people in the three main buildings on the estate, has a swimming pool, Jacuzzi hot tub, private lake, maid service and a chef. Guests can also request a private driver, cooking lessons, yoga classes, local tours, and wine tastings.
Weekly rentals of the villa are available for around $17,448. If you want to rent Villa Laura, or just look at the photos and pretend you can rent it like we did, visit villa-laura.eu.
