A year after shooting his directorial debut, Lost River (formerly How To Catch A Monster), Ryan Gosling has premiered the film at the Cannes Film Festival.
The entire movie was shot at locations around Detroit, MI – including the Masonic Temple where Eloise, starring Chace Crawford, is currently filming – and follows a single mother (Christina Hendricks) who begins performing at an underworld nightclub “featuring bloody acts of horror” to make ends meet.
In the footage, which is largely being panned by critics, we don’t see Hendricks’ character but we do see her son Bones (Iain De De Caestecker), a muscle-obsessed bully (Matt Smith), a burning building, and a very run down Detroit.
