Back in January it looked like filming on Ant-Man would have already been underway but now it will likely be months before they call “action” on the set.

This week Marvel and Edgar Wright announced Wright will not be directing the upcoming movie. The statement said he was walking away “due to differences in their vision of the film.”

Marvel said it shouldn’t affect the planned July 17, 2015 release date for the feature but it will likely push back the production’s start date.

Originally, Ant-Man was to start filming at the new Pinewood Atlanta Studios in Fayetteville, GA this month. As of now, a new tentative start date of July 28 has been floating around but that will depend on how long it takes Marvel to find a new director.

Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas will star in the movie about a biochemist who uses a group of subatomic particles to create a size-altering formula. After his first self-test goes awry, he develops an instrument that helps him communicate with and control insects.
