The 2014 CFDA Fashion Awards, which “recognizes the outstanding contributions made to American fashion by individuals from all areas of the industry” was held Monday, June 2 at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center in NYC.
The event always attracts fashionistas from the worlds of TV, movies, and music. One of this year’s most outstanding looks was worn by Blake Lively who paired a short Michael Kors dress with a headband for a 1960s look. She told VF, “Whenever I pick an outfit, I always pick the whole look, because that helps me know which outfit I want. But I wanted to do something sort of 60s, by looking at the different designs that Michael had. And so when I saw this dress, I thought it was very fun, and it was very appropriate for the time period, but I wanted to do a fun twist on it. So, 60s.”
Check photos of Blake arriving at the event, as well as Anna-Wintour, Michael Kors, Beth Behrs, Bridget Moynahan, Busy Phillips, Chris Kattan, Greta Gerwig, Heidi Klum, Jaime King, James Marsden, Jennifer Hudson, Keri Russell, Lupita Nyong’o, the Olsen twins, and Rihanna.
