This is the final post regarding my Inkshares Project and even though it doesn’t look like I’m going to hit my goal by Wednesday night to get the book published, I wanted to thank everyone who backed 101 Places Every Pop Culture Fan Should See.
I work hard to provide interesting/useful/fun/helpful information and this book would have been the culmination of all the best stuff I’ve learned while running OLV – and I’m heartbroken I won’t be able to see it through. Anyone who has had crowdfunding campaign fail and acts like it is no big deal is bluffing – it is definitely a big disappointment.
But, instead of focusing on that, I want to focus on the 45 OLV readers who did believe in this project (some giving as much as $100!) and wanted to show their support for all things OLV. I am truly humbled that those people thought enough of what I’m doing in my little corner of the web to help me raise more than $1500! I can’t thank all of you enough!
And, know that you will all still be receiving the incentives you are owed even though I didn’t hit my goal. It is the least I can do to say thank you!
It is a long shot now but if anyone does want to chip in, you can back the project here (through Wednesday, June 25). And, for anyone who has/might still give, you will receive your full donation back if/when I don’t hit the goal.
