Filming of Star Wars: Episode VII began Monday, July 28th in County Kerry, Ireland. The movie is shooting on Skellig Michael, a remote island off the Irish coast, and will continue on through Wednesday.
No news on what scenes are being filmed there, but reports indicated that cast has been brought out to the island along with the crew.
The shoot is not without controversy. The organization Birdwatch Ireland has expressed concerns over the shoot because it is coinciding with breeding season for thousands of pairs of puffins on the island.
