Gene Simmons recently announced that a movie based on the band’s 1975 visit to Michigan is fully funded and in pre-production.
Simmons said he doesn’t know what role the band will play in Cadillac High, or the production timeline, but he did seem confident that it would shoot in Michigan.
The Michigan Film Office offered producer Philip Steuer an $8.2 million incentive to shoot the movie in Cadillac, Detroit and Pontiac back in 2012 but, at that time, the project stalled.
Kiss visited Cadillac after learning the football team listened to their music in the locker room.
Stay tuned for more on this project, hopefully we’ll have confirmation about the shoot soon.
