The X-Men are headed back to Montreal.
Less than two years after X-Men: Days of Future Past began filming in Montreal, the next installment of the franchise is back in town and gearing up to begin shooting early next year.
Reportedly, X-Men: Apocalypse will open production office in Montreal next month and begin set construction in December. Filming is expected to be underway by April 2015.
X-Men: Apocalypse is being written by Bryan Singer, Simon Kinberg, Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris. Rumor has it, the movie will be set in 1983 and focus on the younger X-Men: First Class characters.
X-Men Apocalypse hits theaters on May 27, 2016.
