This week Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice has been shooting party scenes at the Eli and Edythe Board Art Museum on the MSU campus.
One of the extras working on the set spilled more details about the shoot this week, telling a local media outlet, “the scene being shot at an Art Museum on the Michigan State University campus involves a fight between Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) and Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg). And, the physical altercation between Bruce and Lex will involve the military.”
Not surprisingly, the filming has caused a lot of excitement on campus for students and area residents. Ben Affleck even took a break from his work out yesterday to addressed MSU’s football team prior to their practice.
But, the fun in Michigan isn’t going to last much longer. Filming is set to wrap up at the end of the month with production moving to Illinois next.
According to Reel Chicago, BVS has opened an office at Cinespace Stages this week with shooting taking place between Nov. 3-14. Filming locations will include the Kent Farm, the subway, and the “Daily Planet” atrium at Willis Tower in Chicago.
It also looks like the movie will be filming at the Aragon Ballroom, 1106 W Lawrence Ave, Chicago. Last month there were film permits issued to Crown City Pictures (aka BVS) at this location and they are scheduled to be back on Monday, Oct. 20. They are most likely scouting or prepping the location for filming on a future date.
Below are a few photos of the Kent Farm location taken last month, too. As you can see the set is ready to go and is already being closely guarded.
In addition to Michigan and Illinois, Batman V Superman will also be filming in New Mexico.
