Over the past eight years Stand Up for Heroes has raised more than $21 million dollars to help injured service members and their families thrive after they return home.
But, the event isn’t just about raising money, it’s about having a few laughs, too.
The benefit, which is being held tonight at the Theater at Madison Square Garden, is part of this week’s New York Comedy Festival.
The event headliner is, as usual, Bruce Springsteen, and this year he’ll be joined by Louis C.K., Jon Stewart, Jim Gaffigan and John Oliver, as well as surprise guests.
