Reel Pieces, 92Y’sfilm series, will welcome Benedict Cumberbatch on Sunday, Nov. 16 at 8 pm for a preview screening of The Imitation Game, followed by a conversation with moderator by Annette Insdorf.
Winner of the People’s Choice Award at the 2014 Toronto Film Festival, The Imitation Game is a riveting drama about Alan Turing, the brilliant mathematician who headed the British group that broke the German code system during World War II. Excellent supporting performances by Keira Knightley, Matthew Goode, Charles Dance and Mark Strong enhance this portrait of a genius and his time. Scripted by Graham Moore, The Imitation Game is the English-language debut for Norwegian director Morten Tyldum, best known for Headhunters.
