According to our friends at oneheadlightink.com, House of Cards will soon shoot scenes for season three in New Mexico.
According to the site, “a House of Cards episode is set to shoot in the New Mexico state capital…within just a matter of weeks.”
The hit Netflix series is set in Washington D.C. but is primarily filmed in the Baltimore, Maryland area. According to a recent report, House of Cards and other productions cost taxpayers more than they get in return, sparking debate over whether or not the state should continue to offer tax incentives to film projects.
So, could House of Cards be using the New Mexico shoot as a scouting trip, too? Perhaps they are looking for a new home base for season four?

This could work if our ridiculous governor doesn’t screw it up again.
film everything in New Mexico. It’s gorgeous. Film the present governor getting run out on the rails. Then get back to filming the good TV series there.
