For the past three weeks the cast and crew of NBC’s Peter Pan Live have been rehearsing for the their live broadcast at Grumman Studios in Bethpage, NY.

The studio space was once used to build airplanes, but it has become the home base for some of the biggest movie and TV projects to be made in recent years, including the upcoming Annie reboot, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, The Avengers, and The Sound of Music Live.

On Thursday, Dec. 4, all of the work happening in the space now for Peter Pan will finally come to fruition as the performance airs live on NBC.

“It’s a little scary,” admits Christopher Walken, who plays Captain Hook. “There are so many people working on it, it’s like some sort of military operation.”

There are 46 cast members and 350 crew members working on the production at an estimated cost of $10 million. But all of the hard work and investment are worth it to star Alison Williams. “This is all you ever want as an actor,” she said. “All you want is for someone to ask you to work very hard and push yourself — and tell you that ‘We have faith in you to do it.’ ”
