Fans often ask how they can become extras in their favorite TV shows so, over the past couple of years, we’ve been featuring some of the shows we get asked about most, and explaining how to become a background actor in these TV series.

This week, we’re putting a spotlight on another fan favorite – Grey’s Anatomy.

The first thing fans need to understand is that you usually need to live in the region where a show is filmed – in the case of Grey’s that’s L.A. – to become an extra.

Extras casting for Grey’s Anatomy is handled by Jeff Olan Casting, who also takes care of casting for How To Get Away With Murder.

To apply for an extra role on Grey’s (or How To Get Away With Murder), background actors must be registered with Jeff Olan Casting. Unfortunately, right now, they are not accepting new registrations. But, they do hold open casting calls on occasion, so it is important for fans to watch their website and Facebook page for announcements.

Jeff Olan Casting will NOT be accepting new registrations at this time until further notice. Check on this website or call our registration hotline: 818-377-4475 for updates for new registration.
