The Top 3 Cities Where You Should Catch The Main Event Tour

Tomorrow, presale tickets will be released for New Kids On The Block’s The Main Event Tour with TLC and Nelly.

The 40 city tour, which Joey McIntyre described as “one big huge massive party”, kicks off May 1 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas and will feature the band’s most elaborate, in the round, stage yet. “It’s the most elaborate stage we’ve ever done in the history of our band,” Donnie Wahlberg said on GMA.

Obviously, the news has Blockheads everywhere making plans and hastily choosing which shows to attend. If you’re one of those diehard fans having trouble deciding where you want to catch the tour, we have a little help for you.

Here are our top 3 cities where you should catch NKOTB this summer.

Las Vegas, NV on May 1

Why wait any longer than you have to when you can catch the first show of the tour in Las Vegas? And, since the show is on a Friday, you can make a weekend out of it and keep the nostalgia going by catching Donny & Marie at the Flamingo on May 2 or, if seeing NKOTB isn’t enough to satisfy your hot guy quota, check out the Thunder from Down Under at Excalibur.

New Orleans, LA on May 15

There is no better city for “one big party” than New Orleans. After attending the concert, keep things going at Tipitina’s, Preservation Hall, or the Maple Leaf Bar.

St. Louis, MO on May 22

The Main Event hits St. Louis just in time for one of the city’s biggest annual events, Ribfest. Held over Memorial Weekend, the festival will be take place in New Town at St Charles for the first time in 2015, to accommodate an even bigger crowd of rib connoisseurs. We can’t think of a better way to follow up The Main Event than with a plate of ribs and cold beer!
