The highly anticipated second season of True Detective is currently filming in Los Angeles and, along with the first set photos, we also have details about where the show is shooting right now.
In True Detective 2, “three police officers and a career criminal must navigate a web of conspiracy in the aftermath of a murder. Colin Farrell plays Ray Velcoro, a compromised detective whose allegiances are torn between his masters in a corrupt police department and the mobster who owns him, while Vince Vaughn is set to play Frank Semyon, a career criminal in danger of losing his empire when his move into legitimate enterprise is upended by the murder of a business partner.” Rachel McAdams also stars as Ani Bezzerides, a Ventura County Sheriff’s detective whose ethics put her at odds with the system she serves. Taylor Kitsch rounds out the cast as Paul Woodrugh, “a war veteran and motorcycle officer for the California Highway Patrol, running from a difficult past and the sudden glare of a scandal that never happened.”
It appears the show is filming under the working title Outlaws. Several recent filming permits for Outlaws have been issued by the production company Neon Black Productions, which does produce the True Detective series.
This week, True Detective season 2 is filming at 625 S Anderson St, 2270 Jesse St and S Anderson St., E 6th St – E 7th St, Los Angeles from 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM.
