Last month James Franco announced he had assembled an all-star cast, including Selena Gomez, Vincent D’Onofrio, Robert Duvall, Ed Harris, Bryan Cranston and Danny McBride, for the film adaptation of John Steinbeck’s In Dubious Battle, and now we know when and where the movie will be filmed.
According to a new posting on the Georgia Help Wanted Hotline, In Dubious Battle is looking for various crew members – from location scouts to caterers – for the film which is expected to begin filming in the Atlanta area in March.
The movie will be shot in Georgia, but will be set in California as the 1936 novel follows a man who tries to organize a strike by fruit pickers in Southern CA.
Pre-production began earlier this month with principal photography kicking off in March.
