Aspiring filmmakers and actors in New Mexico won’t want to miss tomorrow’s Film & Media Day event in Santa Fe.
Here’s the schedule for all the FREE New Mexico Film & Media Day 2015 Events:
9:00 a.m. Mayor’s welcome, with breakfast burritos, Inn at Loretto – Tesuque room, 211 Old Santa Fe Trail.
9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Film related organizations will have informational tables set up within the Roundhouse, in the Halls of History.
10:00 a.m. Financial Literacy Class at Jean Cocteau Cinema, 418 Montezuma Street
11:00 a.m. Press Conference in the Rotunda with speakers from the industry, including SAG-AFTRA member, Betsy Brandt (Breaking Bad).
12:00 p.m. Performance by New Mexico singer/songwriter, Crystalynn.
12:00 p.m. – 1 p.m. The New Mexico Federation of Labor “Moral Mondays” rally, just outside the Roundhouse, on the east side of the building.
1:00 p.m. New Mexico film previews with producers Marshall Bear, “Burning Bodhi” and Chad Burris, “Bare”, at Jean Cocteau Cinema, 418 Montezuma Street.
10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Casting Session – Participants sign up inside the Roundhouse at the “casting” table, then proceed outside to the Shoot Santa Fe RV to have their photo taken.
2:30 – 4:00 p.m. How to Get Cast in TV & Film: panel discussion
with New Mexico casting directors and talent agents, moderated by Jo Edna Boldin Santa Fe Playhouse, 142 E. De Vargas Street.The world famous “Breaking Bad RV Tours” Bounder will be present outside the Roundhouse throughout the day’s events.
5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Private Legislative Reception in the Dragon Room at the Pink Adobe, 406 Old Santa Fe Trail (Tickets at the door are $50 per person, 21 and over, open to Film and Media Day attendees only – CLOSED to the press).
Rumor has it, among the projects looking for extras at tomorrow’s event are Independence Day 2, a major dramatic western remake, and several other feature films, as well as the TV shows Night Shift, Manhattan, Longmire, and Better Call Saul.
Betsy Brandt from Breaking Bad is expected to be there, and, Kaley Cuoco is rumored to be attending the premiere of her upcoming movie at George RR Martin’s Santa Fe theater.
