Just a couple weeks after filming started in Cleveland, the Bruce Willis movie Wake has been shut down due to financial issues.
“Benaroya Pictures is working quickly to remedy the delay in production on the feature film ‘Wake,’ and we are optimistic we will resume principal photography in approximately 2-3 weeks,” the production said in a statement.
Benaroya is the same company that pulled the plug on Idol’s Eye, starring Robert De Niro and Robert Pattinson, as filming was set to begin in Toronto last year.
Wake, which also starred Piper Perabo, Ben Kingsley, Cameron Monaghan and Ellen Burstyn also star, was scheduled to film in Oho through April 17.
