As we reported last week, The Walking Dead is gearing up to begin filming season six in Coweta County, Georgia.
Not only are crews busy prepping the Gin Community in Senoia that fills in as “Alexandria” on the show, one of our Twitter followers, @chrysfields, also spotted those telltale Do Not Mow signs on Gordon Rd in Coweta County.
According to the show’s location manager, much of season six will once again take place in Alexandria, with a need to do some filming outside the walls for certain episodes as wall.
For some episodes, they may need to film outside the wall two or three days. One episode is set for filming May 15 to 28 and “we will be on that site for the entire episode.”
That will include “a day or two we will have to be outside that wall and filming the scene.”
Filming is expected to begin on May 4. If you have any scoop about The Walking Dead filming in Georgia, let us know about it at olv@onlocationvacations.com!
