A new film set is being constructed in Lindale, GA for Divergent Series: Allegiant – Part 1, which began filming in the Atlanta area last week.
Filming will take place at the old Lindale Mill from June 11 – 23. Nearby Gilbreath Recreation Center will be used as a base camp and staging area for the movie while in town.
Ann Hortman of the Greater Rome Convention and Visitors Bureau said more and more productions are looking for locations outside of Atlanta. “They told me Atlanta had become so saturated,” Hortman said. “So you have more and more productions looking outside of Atlanta, to places like Rome.”
