The choice of your audio system can make or break your entertainment experience. We recently received the Vizio 2.1 Wireless Bluetooth enabled Sound Bar (model SB3821-C6) which arrived well packaged in a glossy full-color trombone-shaped box, to accommodate the 38” soundbar and wireless sub-woofer.
The unit was easily unboxed with minimal waste. The accessory box was also easily located and all items were clearly labeled with a proper multi-language instruction manual.
Setup was extremely simple. There are just two power cords. One cord powers the sound bar, the other powers the sub-woofer. The remaining connection is between the TV audio source and the sound bar. When powering the unit up, it automatically scans for an active input and you’re ready to go!
The included remote control has a soft touch finish. A row of white, vertically positioned LED lights on the left end of the sound bar serve as a visual indicator of input source, volume, bass, treble, and surround sound. The sound bar also has Bluetooth connectivity allowing music to be streamed from any Bluetooth enabled device.
We tested the unit while watching a few episodes of Breaking Bad, know for its great score and audio tracks. The home audio quality was excellent and the sound felt as though it was coming from the middle of the TV screen. It was a real sound education.
The Vizio soundbar is a solid mid-budget performer that provides a good user experience while being very easy to use and setup. The ability to wirelessly stream audio via Bluetooth was a nice feature that allows the unit to double as an all around audio system to fill a large room with stereo sound.
