The team that created Cruel Intentions: The Musical and The Unauthorized O.C. Musical has confirmed they are working on The Unauthorized ‘Friday Night Lights’ Musical, which will debut in L.A. next year.
FNL star Scott Porter, who got his start in Off Broadway musical Altar Boyz, has signed on to play Coach Taylor while Molly McCook, who starred in the musical versions of Cruel Intentions and The O.C., will play Tyra.
Producers Lindsey Rosi and Jordan Ross have received the green light from NBC Universal to proceed with the musical, though it is still in its early stages.
