Volunteering at awards ceremonies, comic cons, film festivals and other celebrity events is one of the best ways to see your favorite stars.

The Film Independent Spirit Awards – held on Oscars weekend in a tent on the beach in Santa Monica – celebrates “the broad spectrum of independent filmmaking” and acts as the primary fundraiser for Film Independent’s year-round programs. Among the 2016 Spirit Award nominees are the films Carol, Spotlight, The Diary of a Teenage Girl, Son of Saul and more.
