Brittany Snow’s latest Brooklyn-set movie, Bushwick, is filming on location this week in Queens.
Bushwick “tells the story of twenty-year-old Lucy and war veteran Stupe. Texas is trying to secede from the U.S., and NYC is being used as a negotiation tool. Lucy meets Stupe after coming up from the subway into the military invasion of Brooklyn. Together they decide to cross the treacherous five blocks of Bushwick – littered with looters, local militias, the invading forces, and one crazy cousin – in order to get home and be reunited with Lucy’s grandmother.”
Jane Levy was originally attached to star in the film but at the last minute Snow stepped into the role. Dave Bautista also stars in the thriller, due to hit theaters next year.
Thanks to one of our readers, @kimlovesscooby, we’ve learned Bushwick will be filming around Onderdonk Ave – Woodward Ave and Dekalb Av in Queens, NY on Friday, Dec. 11.

“Bushwick” has been filming all week in Ridgewood, Queens. They have been on Grandview Ave in the Grover Cleveland Park, Amory Court and Stanhope Street. According to posted signs, they will be filming from 12/15-12/19. I saw a few scenes being filmed the other night with vehicles on fire, military police, fight scenes and a mob of people.
Right, because the first thing Texas would do after seceding is invade NYC. *eye roll*
Well … about FIVE other states, who are “in” with Texas, have managed to raise armies and invade New York without most people even knowing what was happening. Somehow, even lowly grunts among the invaders know the entire plan yet it was never leaked out of the rebel confederation.
