Get ready to squee! Stars Hollow is being resurrected on the Warner Brothers Lot in Hollywood right now! While the fictional setting for Gilmore Girls was based on a real town creator Amy Sherman-Palladino once visited in Connecticut, the entire series was filmed on the WB lot, where fans have recently spotted crews painting some of the old sets that we all know and love.

One Twitter user, @caddyglass, reported seeing a fresh coat of paint on Miss. Patty’s Dance Studio and props that were reserved for “Kim’s Antiques through 1/11/16”. While, @Barone2525 spotted a “Gilmore Girls 2016” sign in one of the studios and other fans have also spotted Luke’s Diner set being painted, on the inside and out, during a studio tour.

News of the Gilmore Girls reboot broke last fall when Netflix and Warner Bros. confirmed they were bringing the show back for what is believed to be four 90-minute movies, each set in a different season.

There is no word of an official start date but with sets being painted and props on hold, we can only assume it will be soon!

Have you toured the WB lot recently? Let us know what you’ve spotted!

  1. We went on a tour at the beginning of December and there were props everywhere with hold for Gilmore Girls on them. I got a photo of me sitting in a beautiful winged pink chair….can’t wait to see where it’s placed.

  2. I toured WB lot last week and saw Luke’s diner being recreated, The entire Stars hollow town being renovated and painted, and the antique shop being built. The tour guide told me that Gilmore Girls is being re-made for netflix!!

  3. If they can reboot Baywatch…Gilmore Girls should be rebooted and NOT just in 4 movie style episodes. They can re-create the series and have it match today’s world very easily. Hope this is true!!! We need a show like this BACK again!
