FOX’s ‘Rocky Horror Picture Show’ begins filming this week in Toronto

On Monday, March 14, FOX’s remake of the 1975 cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show began production in Toronto.

The updated version is being filmed entirely at Revival Studios through April 27.

Kenny Ortega is directing the movie which will star Laverne Cox as Dr. Frank-N-Furter, played by Tim Curry in the big screen version, well Victoria Justice steps into Susan Sarandon’s shoes as Janet and Ryan McCartan takes on the role of Brad, played by Barry Bostwick in the first film. Christina Milian, Reeve Carney, Adam Lambert, Annaleigh Ashford and Ben Vereen round out the cast. Tim Curry will narrate as The Criminologist in the FOX reboot.

Rocky Horror will follow FOX’s hit musical Grease Live, which attracted more than 12 viewers and a live broadcast of The Passion set to air on Palm Sunday.
