Friday, April 15 will mark the three year anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombing that killed three people and injured more than 250 others, and redefined what it means to be Boston Strong.

Friday will also bring a somber day of filming on the the set of Patriots Day, which tells the story of the chaotic events of that fateful day, and the manhunt that followed for Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the brothers behind the terror attack.

Filmmakers plan to spend the day filming at the former home of MIT Officer Sean Collier, who was fatally shot by the brothers after the attack. A permit application requested to film inside Collier’s apartment, located on Curtis St in Teele Square, Somerville, MA, during the day on April 15. “It’s an internal scene, so nothing is being done on the street at all. It’s an innocuous scene inside of someone’s residence,” said city spokeswoman Jaclyn Rossetti.

Travis Dixon, Collier’s former roommate who still lives in the apartment, said he hopes the movie will give people better insight into who Collier and the victims were as individuals, “and let people see them more than how they saw them in the news.”

Patriots Day stars Mark Wahlberg and is being directed by Peter Berg. John Goodman, J.K. Simmons, Kevin Bacon and Jimmy O. Yang also star, while Alex Wolff and Themo Melikidze have been cast as the Tsarnaevs.
