With filming on Transformers 5 expected to start in just over a month, on June 15, we have a sneak peek at a few of the locations the movie will be using in Detroit.
It was announced back in February that the majority of Transformers 5 will be filmed in Michigan. Paramount is receiving $21 million of the the state’s incentives. The deal was struck before the Michigan state legislature eliminated the film incentive program last July.
“Michigan has been so welcoming of Michael Bay and the ‘Transformers’ movies over the years and we are thrilled to be returning for this next incredible installment,” said Lee Rosenthal, president of physical production at Paramount Pictures.
Transformers 5, once again starring Mark Wahlberg, will film in the Detroit area through October and, thanks to one of our tipsters, Linden, we have a look at least a few of the locations the movie plans to use while in town.
Here’s a preliminary list of some of the locations for Transformers 5, stay tuned for more info coming soon. If you spot Transformers 5 filming, let us know at olv@onlocationvacations.com!
