Last week we speculated that The Dark Tower would film in NYC soon, and now we’ve confirmed the shoot will take place in just a few weeks.
The Stephen King book series on which the film is based is mix of fantasy, science fiction and horror that follows Roland the last Gunslinger, who “is traveling southeast across Mid-World’s post-apocalyptic landscape, searching for the powerful but elusive magical edifice known as The Dark Tower.”
Idris Elba is playing Roland in the movie while Matthew McConaughey will play his nemesis, the mysterious Man in Black.
Currently, The Dark Tower is filming in South Africa but, the movie will shoot for 7 days from June 28 – July 7 in New York City, too. So, be on the lookout for the signs of filming in late June and be sure to let us know if you have scoop at olv@onlocationvacations.com!
