If you grew up watching Halloweentown, you can relive it all this weekend during St. Helens, Oregon’s Spirit of Halloween Festival.
The movie was filmed in St. Helens in 1998, a role the town embraces with special events throughout the entire month of Oct. This year’s festivities will kick off on Saturday, Oct. 8 with the lighting of the Great Pumpkin and, who better to help out with the lighting than Marnie from the movie (aka Kimberly J. Brown).
In addition to showing off their giant pumpkin, the town has also reconstructed two of the movie’s magical movie sets which fans can tour, it will also host a costume cocktail party, haunted tractor rides and fall festival.
Throughout the month fans can also enjoy self-guided haunted tours including spooky displays at local businesses!
