‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ returns to Los Angeles for season 9

Back in June Larry David announced Curb Your Enthusiasm would be returning to HBO in 2017, after a six-year hiatus. It was also confirmed that in addition to David, Jeff Garlin, Cheryl Hines, Susie Essman, J.B. Smoove, Richard Lewis, Mary Steenburgen, and Ted Danson will all be reprising their roles on the show, too.

Much to the delight of fans, HBO followed up the summer announcement with the release of a short video in November that confirmed the cast and crew had started filming the new episodes. But, unfortunately for those in NYC, it appears they’ve returned to Los Angeles for the full season.

During season 8, Larry and his friends returned to New York, where they haven’t been since season four, and, in 2011, they filmed most of those NYC episodes on location, giving fans in the city a chance to see the show’s stars in person.

At the time, David told The Huffington Post that the crowds watching the filming in New York were “very vocal … and enthusiastic,” compared to Los Angeles, “where you can’t get one person to stop.”

This afternoon, Curb Your Enthusiasm was spotted filming around Allenford Ave, off of Sunset Blvd in Los Angeles.
