On Feb. 23 the musical Sunday in the Park with George, starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Annaleigh Ashford, will celebrate its Broadway opening at the historic Hudson Theatre on West 44th St in NYC.
The show’s run will be short, just 10-weeks, through April 23, 2017.
The revival of the Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine musical began a three-day concert in October for New York’s City Center. But, thanks to an opening in Jake’s schedule, Sunday was able to move to Broadway. “The way this thing came together, it felt almost like fate was pushing for it to happen,” Gyllenhaal says.
