Casting call for new movie with Matthew McConaughey in Cleveland

Talent agency Angela Boehm Casting is looking for background extras and actors for feature roles in White Boy Rick, starring Matthew McConaughey.

The film follows the true story of Richard Wershe Jr., who was an undercover informant for the police during the 1980s. He, however, was arrested for drug-trafficking and sentenced to life in prison.

Matthew McConaughey plays Richard Wershe Sr. and was seen on location in the past days in Cleveland. You can see photos here and here.

The roles currently available for casting are the following:

  • Roller skaters: African Americans for a few scenes expected to be shot in May with flexible schedule. Put “Skaters” in email subject line.
  • Male teen: African American, 18 or 17, for a featured role as the boyfriend of a principal actress. Subject: “Boyfriend”.
  • Boys 7-12: Three African Americans. Subject: Neighbor Boys.
  • Teen: 13-16. if you have a bike, tell what kind and send a photo. Subject: Teen on Bike.
  • Heavyset woman: African American. Subject: Pizza Cook.
  • Middle-aged woman: African American, 45-55. If you have a dog, please include a photo of the pet. Subject: Neighbor with Dog.
  • White adults and kids: Both genders, all ages. Subject: Gun Show.

The movie is directed by Yann Demange and is scheduled to be released on January 12, 2018.
