As The Outsiders opens, viewers see Ponyboy exit a theater which is now Circle Cinema in Tulsa, OK. Next week, fans of the movie will be able to see Ponyboy in person, in that very theater.

On Sunday, May 7, the non-profit Circle Cinema and The Outsiders House Museum will present special screenings of the Francis Ford Coppola classic 1983 film at the theater.

The screenings will also include Q&A’s with three of the film’s stars: C. Thomas Howell (Ponyboy Curtis), Ralph Macchio (Johnny Cade), and Darren Dalton (Randy Anderson). The stars will also be attending a sold out gala in the evening.

The movie, set in 1960’s Tulsa, was based on S.E. Hinton’s story of turbulent youth divided by train tracks and socioeconomic status. It has been captivating audiences for the last 35 years.

Proceeds from the screening will assist in funding the restoration of The Outsiders House.

Tickets to the event are $20.
